At Dance Temple we have a saying that:

“Dance is the ANS!”

Meaning that dance is the answer to whatever ails you. There’s a special type of alchemy that occurs when you get to witness someone move their body and awaken the wisdom of who they really are…this is the moment when they unlock their body and their deepest power… this is what I love to share and why I created Dance Temple.

I have been studying dance since I was very young; I graduated high school from The National Ballet School of Canada in Toronto and have a BFA in Dance from NYU/Tisch school of the Arts in NYC. I danced professionally in Canada and Europe.

In 2009 I took a break from dancing and studied at the School of Professional Horticulture at The New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. Since then I have worked as a horticulturist for many beautiful estates in the Hudson Valley of NY and Litchfield Hills of CT.

After the pandemic I returned to dance and realized how much I missed it. Curating events at Dance Temple allows me to share my love of movement and reverence for nature. I hope you will spend some time moving with us!

I’ve loved dancing my whole life and was always dreaming up and putting on performances as a kid. In 2013, the opportunity to try pole dancing for the first time came about and I was immediately hooked. It was a beautiful, fun, and a killer workout. I wanted to master every trick.

After a tough pregnancy and the wild ride of new motherhood, I took a long break from pole dancing. When I eventually returned, I re-discovered how joyful movement can be for the sake of one’s own pleasure—not for fitness, or to build strength or to get “better.”

It gave me the same free feeling I’d loved when I was little and dancing without fear of being judged. My hope is to create the same environment for all the women who take classes at Dance Temple. I love sharing my passion for dance and can’t wait to see you start your own pole dance journey!
